CYPRUS SPRING JIU-JITSU OPEN 2023

14/05/20223ADULTS ONLY NO GI COMPETITION.

Location: We invite you to the Cyprus Spring Jiujitsu Open 2023, hosted at the Agios Dometios Sports Center (Adress: Grigoris Afxentiou 156 Agios Dometios, 2365).

Date: 13-14/5/2023.

Hours: Weight in at 9 am, Competition at 10 am         

A two day BJJ Competition open to kids and adults. On the 13th the competition will be with Gi for both, kids and teens. On the14th the competition will be No Gi adults. 

The event's goal is to promote the competition aspect of Jiu-jitsu in Cyprus.

All kids will do at list two competitions and adults’ divisions will be run on a single elimination basis and will be following IBJJF rules. 

In case of only two entries in a category then the outcome will be based on best of three. 

DIVISIONS & WEIGHT CATEGORIES

Weight categories as per IBJJF rules for both Gi and NO GI.  

No Gi required for kids weight in!

MMA fighters, competitive wrestlers, Judo and Jujitsu competitive athletes must fight at least as green belts for teens and blue belts for adults.

- Weigh ins are 1 hour before your division start time (will be published closer to the event). 

- Event's start time 10am sharp - weigh in begins from 9am.

-Registration is 25€ per entry for kids and teens and 30€ for adults via cash payment until 7 of May.  Late registrations will have an extra fee of 10 euros.

- Black belts participation is free.

- All participants with their registration accept a waiver included in the "terms of service" section and agree to the listed items and that they have read and understood them.

• You realise martial arts & contact sports include a risk of bodily harm or worse

- The day of the event all athletes need a health certificate by CSO OR they will need to sign a declaration form issued by the organizers.
