Midwest Grappling League - June Showdown

If you would like to compete please fill out the forms below the cost is $40 for Gi and No Gi.

This is not an open event and all registration must be done beforehand. 

Registration will be end June 8th. Absolutely No day of registration.

Midwest Grappling League was formed to give grapplers in the Midwest more matches in a professional environment.

What makes us different? Quite a few things

All the matches are 7 minutes

We award submission attempts to promote finishes and we get them. Currently, we are at about 75% submission rate

We give out cash prizes for the winners

We Live Stream our matches….. for Free! Including scoring, commentating and multiple camera angles

We host the event in our gym. Sure we do it to keep the cost low to enter but honestly, I love our gym as far as a venue. It has showers, it has a large mat area, three bathrooms, and a seating area. It's a great setup for BJJ… I would much rather have it here than an event center. Our mat space is 80×36 and typically we only run 2-3 mats. So you have plenty of space to warm up and compete.

We try to get you as many matches as possible

We start our event at 3pm – We do this so you don’t have to get a hotel room (Weigh Ins from 11am - 2pm)

We run on time – We only do one belt level to focus on those matches and to ensure that the event is done quick

All and all we are not trying to replace the events in the area! We think they are great and we compete at them all the time. Our goal with these are to treat them like team duals almost. An event with a laid back atmosphere where you know you will have opponents compete and be done quick and have a great time!

If the match is tied at the end of 7 minutes a judge will award the winner. This will be based off of the IBJJF Point system, aggressiveness and submission attempts.
