This competition is for invited gyms and Kings affiliates only. 

On The Day

Doors open at 9am, try get there on time.

See the front desk for weigh in.

Before the matches start, there will be a rules briefing. If you are competing please be weighed in and ready for briefing. 

Matches will begin at 10am sharp.

Location (South West Sydney)

Venue: Kings Academy of Martial Arts

Parking: There are parking spots available around the gym. Please DO NOT park in staff parking spaces (designated by the yellow lines). If you park in the other complex around us, they might lock your car in. 

Match Structure

Submission Only - Round Robin

6 Minute Matches

Referee's Decision in order of importance (Based on Sub attempts, Position and Aggression) except for final No Gi matches.

Final Gold Matches

• 8 Minute Rounds
• If no submission in No Gi finals, we go to EBI Overtime 1 Round. (Control/Ride time counted if no submission is dealt)
• Gi Finals are ref's decision.

Ranking points: 

• 1 Point for a Decision win.
• 2 Points for a Submission win.

Rules

All shouts, screams and yells will be considered verbal taps.

Beginners: (You will be issued a single warning for breaking the rules. Second violation will result in a DQ)

• No Slams (Instant DQ)
• No Heel hooks or rotational foot locks
• No Calf or Bicep Slices
• No Knee Bars
• No Reaping
• No Toe Holds
• No Twister Submission
• No Scissor Takedown
• No Neck Cranks

Intermediates:

• No Slams
• No Scissor Takedowns
• (GI Only) No Heel hooks or rotational foot locks
• No Neck Cranks

Advanced:

• Slams in a submission allowed (both shoulders must land on the mat NO SPIKING on head)
• If Both shoulders do not hit the mat, it will result in an INSTANT DQ.

• (GI Only) No Heel hooks or rotational foot locks

Price

$30 per registration

If you register for one division it's $30.

If you sign up for two division's it's $40.

E.g If I register to the Blue Gi -99KG for $30, I can also register to the Blue NO-GI -99KG for an extra $10.

Spectators can enter FREE.

Divisions

Round Robin Divisions

Teens Divisions (Ages 13 -15) 

• Weight Classes (Under 40KG, Under 50Kg Under 60KG, Over 60KG)
• Belt Classes are Beginners (White Belts & Grey-Whites), Intermediates (Greys up to Grey-Black) and Advanced (Yellow-White up to Green-Black)
• All teen divisions will follow adult beginner rules.

Adults Divisions Gi & NO-GI (Ages 16+)

• Male's Weight Classes (Under 70KG, Under 75KG, Under 80KG, Under 85KG, Under 90KG, Under 99KG Over 99KG) We will merge divisions based on registrations.
• Females Weights (Under 60KG, Under 70KG and Over 70KG)
• Belt Classes are Whites (Beginners), Blues & Purples (Intermediates), Brown & Blacks (Advanced)

King and Queen of the Gym (NO Gi Only)

• Only competitors who medal in their division can enter.
• Each match will be 6 Minutes.
• This is an absolute division.
• Final match is 8 Minutes and will go to EBI Overtime (1 round) if there is no submission.
• Rules are the same for the Advanced division.

Refunds

You can cancel your registration and receive a full refund up until Saturday 12/05/2023.

Please be sure to monitor your divisions and make sure you have competitors on the day. If you show up and have no competitors in your division please email: [email protected] and we'll get you sorted with a refund.
