UMAC WILTSHIRE KIDS BJJ CHAMPIONSHIP

UMAC KIDS CHAMPIONSHIP 2024

Ultimate Martial Arts Championships (UMAC) invites all Kids to join us for the WILTSHIRE CHAMPIONSHIP KIDS 2024. The competition is taking place at SWINDON on Sunday 21st July 2024 and is open to all Kids & Juvenile belt levels. 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The competition will be held in SWINDON in a large venue with changing rooms, shower facilities and spacious on-site parking.

We will have a fully qualified first-aider experienced in providing assistance to BJJ competitions and a top quality team of international level, IBJJF qualified referees.

PROTOCOL:

You can use any colour Gi

Boys don't have to use rashguard underneath Top Gi 

Matching colour Gi, (Top and Trousers same colour)

If you compete in NoGi a Rashguard is essential 

Spats or shorts for NoGi 

• You are not allowed to use socks, earring, necklaces to compete 

MEDALS:

Bespoke medals will be issued to the top 4 competitors in each category.

TROPHIES:

We have divided Gi from NoGi, on all awards 

Trophies will be awarded for Gi and then No-Gi, fastest submission and Team trophies.

You have the opportunity to win in Gi and No-Gi 

• Best Academy GI 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place 
• Best Academy No-Gi 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place 

• Kids Fastest submissions Gi 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place

• Kids Fastest submissions No-Gi 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place

• Kids Absolute No-Gi  1st, 2nd & 3rd place (9-13yrs) (up to orange belt)
• Juvenile Absolute No-Gi  1st, 2nd & 3rd place (14-17) (up to Blue belt)

• Most Inthusiastic Family award plate

** To be able to sign up to the NoGi absolute you must also register for NoGi division **

FASTEST SUBMISION WINNERS 

We will be giving huge trophies to the top 4 fastest submissions of the competition 

Changing divisions/amendments:

Any amendments to your original application, including changes to your registered division needs to be either updated on your Smoothcomp registration or emailed to us by 18/07/2024. Brackets and divisions will be set up by 19/07/2024,  Once we reach the limit of approved registrations we may close all entries early you will receive an email when we have reached 90% of capacity.

Merging divisions:

We reserve the right to merge divisions after the registration deadline in the unlikely event that you are the only competitor in your registered division group, so please move up or email us and we will do it for you before dead line, if you do not move up we will move you and after brackets are published no changes will be allowed.

Minimum 2 fights guarantee:

2 players = Best of 3 first player to win twice wins!

3 players= True round robin Everyone plays everyone

4 players= Bronze match Losers from semi finals fights for bronze

5 players= True round robin Everyone plays everyone

6+ players= 2 matches guaranteed Players that lose their first round gets a consolation match before the final **except absolutes**

Weighing in:

Weighing in takes place on the day of the competition starting from 9am and must be completed at the latest 1 hour before your scheduled division start time. Doors open 9am. You must have officially weighed in 1 hour before your division time and have made the weight. No kids will be disqualified for not making weight, you will be moved up a division if you fail to make weight, if the next division is running already you will have the opportunity to move up again depending on next division available, so it is in your best interest to be in the right division.  

There will be at least 3 staff members with scales at weigh in. This is to avoid any inconvenient queues. We will try our best to avoid queues as we want your experience to be great from start to finish! 

* The weigh-in is to be done once only and whilst wearing your Gi.* you will not need to weigh in for NO GI if you are registed for both* 

If you only register for NO GI you need to weight in as normal with NO Gi

Hot food, hot & cold drinks, the amazing Brazilian Açai and Clothes Stalls available for everyone!

*£5 spectator fee to be paid by cash or card on the day of event*  Children under the age of 8 have free entry.
