2 DAY GRAPPLING TOURNAMENT

06/4/2024 KIDS AND TEENS (U5-U6-U08-U10-U12-U14-U16-U18)  - GI COMPETITION

07/4/2024 ADULTS (IBJJF WEIGHT CATEGORIES) GI & NO GI COMPETITION

(ATHLETES ARE ELIGIBLE TO COMPETE EITHER GI OR NO-GI)

Location: We invite you to the 3rd Cyprus Spring Jiujitsu Open, hosted by Conquer the Mats, at the Agios Dometios Sports Center (Adress: Grigoris Afxentiou 156 Agios Dometios, 2365).

Date: 06-07/04/2024.

Hours: Competition starts at 10 am on Day 1 and 9 am on Day 2. Weigh - ins before your 1st match       

A two day BJJ Competition open to kids and adults. On the 6th the competition will be with Gi for both, kids and teens. On the 7th the competition will be GI & No-Gi for adults. 

The event's goal is to promote the competition aspect of Jiu-jitsu in Cyprus.

RULES

All kids will do at list two competitions  

Kids age 4-7: IBJJF point system no submissions

Kids age 8-12: 3 submissions allowed only

(Straight armlocks, rear naked choke, triangle without pulling the head)

kids from 13 year old and above we will be following the IBBJF RULES.

Adults’ divisions will be run on a single elimination basis.

In case of only two entries in a category then the outcome will be based on best of three. 

DIVISIONS & WEIGHT CATEGORIES

Weight categories as per IBJJF rules for both Gi and NO GI.  

MMA fighters, competitive wrestlers, Judo and Jujitsu competitive athletes must fight at least as green belts for teens and blue belts for adults.

- Event's start time 10 am sharp Day 1 and 9 am Day 2.

-Registration is 30€ per entry for kids and teens and 35€ for adults via cash payment. 

- Black belts participation is free.

- All participants with their registration accept a waiver included in the "terms of service" section and agree to the listed items and that they have read and understood them.

• You will not look to hold the organizer accountable for any costs or claims related to injury or accidents that occurs during the event you register for

- The day of the event all athletes need a health certificate by CSO OR they will need to sign a declaration form issued by the organizers.
