There are several different bracket styles depending on competitor brackets. All heads up 1vs 1 brackets are best out of 3. in the event that you are placed in a 3 person bracket, the 3rd competitor has a first round bye. the competitor will fight the loser of 1 and 2. if the competitor wins, they advance to the finals. If they  lose, they are out of the competition and take 3rd place.
