Brazilian Top Team Spring In House Tournament

Welcome to our in-house youth Jiu-Jitsu Gi tournament! Our primary goal with this event is to introduce our local youth to the IBJJF tournament ruleset. IBJJF is renowned worldwide for its prestigious tournament promotions and is considered the standard for world championship events. 

We kindly ask parents to review the instructional video by Coach Gus on tournament announcements and etiquette, available on our YouTube channel. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.

This will be a modified Round Robin style tournament. Ruleset will follow all IBJJF standards, Scoring 4 points for mount/back control, 3 points for guard pass, 2 points for takedown/sweep/knee on belly.  It will be the competitor's responsibility to study IBJJF allowed and disallowed submissions and be prepared on the day of the tournament.

Brackets for this event will be posted April 26, 2024 and will be adjusted based on your athlete's age skill and size. Please contact us with any questions prior to the event. 

Weigh-in All competitors will weigh in while wearing their Gi. Please be sure to check your weight (wearing Gi) and make any adjustments to your registration before the deadline at 11:59pm (PST) on April 21, 2024. Please register your athlete as close to their current weight as possible, but do not cut weight or stress about disqualifications. When in doubt, register for the heavier weight division. 

SCHEDULE  - We ask  ask that everyone arrives 30 minutes before your match time, Mat times are dynamic and will update throughout the day.
