COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
As we continue to monitor the current situation, the CBJJF will be following the rapidly changing Provincial Health Guidelines in order to ensure all attendees remain safe and healthy at our events. In the case of a forced event cancellation, all registration fees will be automatically refunded. The organization is not responsible for the participants other expenses such as, but not limited to; transportation and lodging.
Prior to the event, we kindly ask all attendees be extra attentive to their body. Please check your temperature BEFORE coming to the event, be mindful of any symptoms you are experiencing (or have experienced within 72 hours of the event) and stay home if you are unwell. Most importantly, if you are (or someone you have been in contact with is) awaiting COVID-19 test results, or tested positive for COVID-19 within 7 days of the event, please stay home.
All CBJJF equipment will be properly sanitized prior to and throughout the event.
VENUE GUIDELINES:
As of February 10th, attendees will NOT be required to show proof of vaccination in order to enter the venue. This includes Competitors, Coaches, Parents/Guardians and Spectators. RDP Venue Guidelines subject to change in the event Provincial Health Requirements change prior to the event.

Additionally, if you are (or someone you have been in contact with is) awaiting COVID-19 test results, or tested positive for COVID-19 within 7 days of the event, please stay home.

Registration is open to ages 5 and up (all belt and skill levels).
Please register using your age as of the date of the tournament.
Tournament Registration closes March 27th, or until 650 registrations have been reached.
YOUTH ATHLETES: (Ages 5 to 17): Includes Gi and No Gi Divisions
- Two fights guaranteed for each athlete
- If registered for both Gi and No Gi, athletes must register for the same weight class
- If registered for both Gi and No Gi, athletes must weigh in once wearing Gi & Belt
- If registered for No Gi only, competitors must weigh in wearing No Gi attire
- Weigh in no earlier than 3 hours before scheduled matches
- 2 lbs allowance provided at weigh-in
DISCLAIMER: Please modify a Youth Athlete's weight class in Smoothcomp if their weight changes by March 27th. IN FAIRNESS TO ALL YOUTH ATHLETES, PLEASE CONSIDER REGISTERING YOUR YOUTH ATHLETE UP A WEIGHT CLASS IF THERE IS A CHANCE THEY MAY REQUIRE THE 2lbs ALLOWANCE TO QUALIFY TO COMPETE. No accommodations will be made at the event unless the competitor ends up as the sole competitor in the bracket and it is possible to move the Youth Athlete up a weight class.
ADULT & MASTERS GI ATHLETES (18+):
- Female Adult & Masters athletes guaranteed two matches
- Male Adult & Masters matches are single elimination
- Weigh in no earlier than 3 hours before first match
- 0 lbs allowance provided at weigh-in. Failure to make weight will result in disqualification.
ADULT & MASTERS NO GI ATHLETES (18+):
- Adult & Masters are combined
- If registered for Expert Division, IBJJF Black Belt Rules plus Heel Hooks & Reaping apply
ADULT & MASTERS ABSOLUTE DIVISION:
- Available to MALE blue, purple, brown and black belts only
- Available to ALL FEMALE belt levels
- Athletes must medal in their division to become eligible to compete in Absolutes
- Athletes must sign up at the Podium

REFUNDS & CREDITS:
- Must be initiated by the registrant/athlete via Smoothcomp (instructions below)
- Full refunds are available until March 13th
- A credit to a future event is available from March 14th to March 27th
- No refunds or credits are available after March 27th
MAKING CHANGES WHILE REGISTRATION IS OPEN:
Please note that any and all changes to your registration MUST be initiated by the registrant/athlete BEFORE March 28th and made directly in Smoothcomp. To do so, login to your profile and select "My Account". Then, click "Edit" for this event. To cancel your registration, click "Cancel".
NO CHANGE REQUESTS ARE PERMITTED AFTER MARCH 27th. PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE IN THE APPROPRIATE WEIGHT CLASS BEFORE THEN.
Youth Athletes using the 2lbs allowance are highly encouraged to move up a weight class in fairness to all other athletes. No accommodations will be made at the event unless the competitor ends up as the sole competitor in the bracket and it is possible to move the Youth Athlete up a weight class.
