Revelation Sub - Only Grappling Tournament

WHAT:

This is a white belt sub only tournament for both Gi and Nogi adults ages 18+.

Weigh ins are without the Gi and are between 8:00 - 9 a.m.   Know your weight, if you are over your weight limit you will be disqualified. If you feel you are too close just chose the next weight group above. Tournament starts at 9 a.m.

RULE SET:

This is a submission only tournament. There are No Points awarded during the match. You must submit your opponent in order to win. Each match is 5 min. You will be awarded 2 points for each opponent you submit, 1 point if the match ends in a draw ( person working the hardest for the sub will be awarded the 1 point and the other person 0 points) and 0 points if you are submitted. Brackets are a Round Robin. Once all the matches are done in your bracket the points will be added up and the person with the highest points wins!

There will be No slamming (proper safe take downs are allowed), No slamming to get out of a sub, No eye pokes or chins in the eye. No hair, finger or toe grabbing, no dropping opponent on their head.

No scissor take downs, spinal locks, toe holds, heel hooks, slicers, wrist locks or neck cranks.

Straight ankle locks and knee bars are allowed

PRIZES:

Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. A rashguard sponsered by Revelation Fight Gear will be awarded to every 1st place winner in both Gi and Nogi.

Spectator entrance fee of $5 at the door (cash).

Gym is fully matted so no shoes. Please bring a lawn chair if you want to sit and watch.

Please help us keep our bathrooms and gym clean by cleaning up after yourself.

P.S.  Remember to have fun, you are early in your jiu jitsu journey. Don't put to much pressure on yourself to win. Try your best and learn from your win or your loss and then come back better for your next tournament!
