Derived from the Russian word “мастерская” the word Masterskya translates to a place of work. At Firehouse Jiu Jitsu, a Masterskya affiliate, we’re dedicated to combining the highest level technique from our sister school, Masterskya HQ in New York City, with the strength of the rugged mountain community of Catskill. It is here where we hope to provide a place where our students can improve themselves on the mats; not just as martial artists, but as human beings.
