PURPLE BELT SUPER LEAGUE
Sponsored by Surf Coffee Jitz (www.surfcoffeejitz.com) The Purple Belt Super League is an Open Weight, Open Age Round Robin Submission Grappling Event running under the SGT rule set. 16 of Perth’s Purple Belts will battle it out in a round robin format to go into the final elimination matches. The 16 competitors will be divided into 4 RANDOM groups of 4 competitors with each competitor in that division facing each other in a submission only 6 minute bout. The winner will be determined by the most amount of submissions in that division and if that is s draw, it will be based on the FASTEST submission. The winners from each of these four groups will compete in an elimination event to see who will be our Super League Winner. These 4 competitors will be drawn from a hat to see who vs each other first. * If one of the groups of 4 does not have a winner (no submissions in the division) we will draw a second place from another division with the second most submissions. Spectators are most welcome to come and watch the event plus it will be streamed live on our YouTube channel. Spectators $15.00 each
THE RULES:
SUBMISSION ONLY, ROUND ROBIN, NO GI EVENT. SGT Purple Belt Rule Set.
16 OPEN AGE AND OPEN WEIGHT MALE PURPLE BELTS WILL COMPETE FOR THE TOP POSITITION.
THE 16 COMPETITORS ARE DIVIDED INTO 4 GROUPS OF 4 (RANDOM) AND FACE EACH OTHER IN A ROUND ROUBIN FORMAT RUNNING UNDER SGT PURPLE BELT RULES.
ONCE THE TOP 4 COMPETITORS FROM EACH OF THE SMALLER DIVISIONS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED, THEY WILL GO INTO A RANDOM DRAW FOR AN ELIMINATION EVENT BETWEEN THEM - THE TOP 4 WILL BE DRAWN OUT OF A HAT TO SEE WHO VS EACH OTHER.
ROUND TIME: 6 MINUTES ROUND ROBIN - 8 MINUTE FINALS
NO-GI ONLY - SGT SUBMISSION RULES.
THERE ARE 18 REGISTRATIONS WILL 2 USED AS BACK UPS FOR INJURY AND PULL OUTS
ONCE THERE ARE 18 COMPETITORS, THE ENTRIES WILL BE CLOSED
