MATCHES

Matches are 5 minutes.

You can win by submission. If there is no submission, judges will decide. Submission attempts will be favoured and stalling will be penalised. There are no points.

ELIMINATION

You will automatically be matched with other competitors in your division. If you lose a match, you will be eliminated. If you win all your matches, you will become the winner of your division. There are no second or third place. 

ALLOWABLE AND ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES

For every belt level, these techniques are allowed: Arm locks, chokes, shoulder locks, rear naked choke, arm triangle, guillotine choke, Ezequiel choke, triangle choke, head outside single leg takedown, straight foot lock (finish towards inside and outside).

Jumping guard, wrist locks, heel hooks, toe holds, knee bars, knee reap, bicep slicer, calf slicer are NOT allowed in white belt division.

Jumping guard, wrist locks, heel hooks, toe holds, knee bars, knee reap, bicep slicer, calf slicer are ONLY allowed in blue belt divisions.

In gi divisions, these techniques are NOT ALLOWED AT ANY LEVEL: Heel hook and knee reap.

ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES FOR ALL LEVELS

• No using walls for takedowns
• No spine lock
• No slamming
• No “Full Nelson”
• No crucifix neck cranks
• No neck cranks that trap both shoulders and puts downward pressure on the neck
• No can opener from guard
• No spiking your opponent on their head while attempting a takedown
• No spiking your opponent’s head when opponent is on your back
• No eye gouging or fish hooking
• No grabbing the ears
• No hair pulling
• No holding of less than 4 fingers or less than 5 toes
• No thumbing
• No striking of any kind
• No scratching and pinching
• No punching of any kind
• No kicking of any kind
• No biting
• No squeezing or putting pressure on the groin area
• No crossface guillotine twisting the chin, grovit or standing neck crank
• No use holding of the rashguards or shorts
