The SJJIF aims to organize the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and its federations, establishing one common set of rules that will enable the sport to develop into a recognized Olympic sport. The SJJIF is aware that Jiu-Jitsu is a constantly evolving sport and its rules & regulations will be updated accordingly to reflect the sport's development.

Weight divisions for men adults, masters and juvenile (all skill levels and belts):

-62kg, -68kg, -74kg, -80kg, -86kg, -92kg, -98kg, +98kg, Absolute

Female divisions for Gi and No Gi:

-46kg, -51kg, -56kg, +56kg

MMA division: -51kg (juveniles only), - 57kg (juveniles only) -62kg, -68kg, -74kg, -80kg, -86kg, -92kg, -98kg, +98kg

MMA Rules: Standard Amateur MMA rules.

*2 rounds of 3 minutes, one extra round if necessary.

*No strikes to the head on the ground

*Slamming the opponent on his head is forbidden

*No knee and elbow strikes

Weight in: 9:30 - 10:30 at the day of the competition at Lokomotiv Stadium

Time limits for Beginners and Intermediate: 5 minutes

Advanced (purple, brown and black belts): 8 minutes

*all leg locks are allowed in the no-gi advanced division

Weight in: 9:30 - 10:30 at the day of the competition at Dianabad National Wrestling Center

Competition fee for Grappling or BJJ is: early regsitration: 30€ (from 30.08 to 07.09) Normal - 35€ (from 07.09 to 04.10) Late (04.10 - 09.10) - 40€ and up to two divisions (category + absolute) If you wish to compete in both Gi & No Gi, you get a 20€ discount for the second division.

If there aren't people in your discipline or division, we will move you another suitable bracket or discipline.
