7th Annual Women and Girls Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Charity Tournament

Hosted by the Women's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation. 

Every year the WBJJF host a charity tournament for women and girls ages 3 and up. We select a charity that we feel is important to our community and have proceeds from tournament go to that years selected charity. 

This year we will be doing a double elimination tournament to help sponsor more matches for our competitors. Medals will be award to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed competitors. 

Our tournaments typically start at 10am and we are done before 7pm.

• GI competitions will be held on Saturday June 11th, 2022

• No GI will be held on Sunday June 12th, 2022.

With the additional matches please expect a longer tournament experience. I am predicting, based upon past numbers, to expect the tournament to last until 7pm. We will have same day registrations.

Charity of Choice: Humane Society of North Texas

This year's charity is The Humane Society of North Texas. A local animal shelter and advocate for pets and animals everywhere. We will be excepting donations of goods at the tournament. They are in constant need of animal food especially for baby kitties and puppies. If you are unable to attend feel free to send something on the list. We will make sure it gets to the animals who need it most. 

Don't forget, last day to register is June 8th. You can make changes to your registration up to June 8nd. Looking forward to seeing everyone June 11th and June 12th. 

This tournament is a great way for women and girls in the sport of Jiu Jitsu to come together and build relationships.

Girls

White - Yellow - Orange - Gray

Teen

White - Yellow - Orange - Gray - Green - Blue - Purple

Adult

White - Blue - Purple - Brown - Black

Weight Classes

Girls - 9 Different classes

Teen - 12 Different Classes

Adult+ - 12 Different Classes

tOURNAMENT cOST

Early registration cost $50 per a division now until February 28th 2022

Regular entry cost $80 per a division March 1st to June 1st

Late Price entry cost $110 per a division June 2nd to June 12th

(We offer same day registration)

Competitor that register for both GI and No GI will be allowed to attend the Seminar at the end of the day for free. Once you have paid for both registration Your name will be added to the list.

Spectator cost:

Children under 5 are free

One day Fee for non competitor: $10

Two Day Entry Fee for non competitor: $15

bingo cards

All children that compete and who pay for an entry fee are able to participate in our Bingo games. Every year we setup bingo cards that have activities listed on them. We range from physical games, charity acts, puzzles and carnival style games to keep them entertained during the tournament. Based on the level of participation bingo card players can earn snacks, drinks, prizes and even tournament medals from past events. We have skilled volunteers that run the games and hand out prizes. Feel free to join in the games as well. This year we will also offer a Father's Day card craft for all bingo players.

Vendors

We have a wide variety of venders at this years tournament. Ranging from GI company, Rash Guards, Acai Bowls, Personalize Gear bags and apparel, Photo booth and more. Seminar

Not interested in competition yet? That's ok, we put together a fun seminar for all skill sets. This Co-ed Seminar will be taught by some very amazing Black Belts from all over the state of Texas. Come out and support our local animal shelter, and learn effective and simple BJJ techniques that will improve your game.

Instruction: TBA

Saturday instruction will cover Jiu Jitsu while in the Gi. Filming of the event will be allowed and encouraged. Instructors will be a covered by a male and female Jiu Jitsu black belt. Please follow us on Facebook for the instructor reveal. Questions are encouraged during the event.
