Nor Cal Legacy III

In 2009 we launched our first tournament, the NorCal Legacy in Alameda, California. 12 years later in 2021, Legacy Jiu-Jitsu Championships have returned and are here to stay! This is a gi & no-gi tournament for kids, teens, and adults

FORMAT:

All matches are single elimination

All matches are IBJJF rules with no advantages. In the event of a tie, there will be a 1-minute golden score round (first to score wins). After that, it will go to ref decision.

There will be NO DOUBLE 3RD. 3RD Place will be decided with a match between the semifinal losers of each division.

ABSOLUTE DIVISIONS: There will be NO absolute divisions for kids. Absolute divisions will be held ONLY adult, male and female, blue, purple, brown, and black in the gi, and for intermediate and advanced divisions in no-gi. 

KIDS Match Length: 4 minutes all levels Gi & No-Gi

JUVENILE Match Length: 5 minutes all levels Gi & No-Gi

ADULT/MASTER Match Length: 6 min all levels Gi & No-Gi

KIDS & JUVENILE NO-GI: ALL of the following submissions are ILLEGAL for Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions for kids & juveniles.

ADULT GI: IBJJF legal techniques 

ADULT NO-GI: Heel hooks and Reaping are allowed for ADVANCED Divisions only. Toe holds & Kneebars are allowed for INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED DIVISIONS. Straight ankle locks are allowed for BEGINNERS.  For all divisions BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE, & ADVANCED there will be no:

*PULLING BACK FINGERS OR TOES 

*SQUEEZING THE WINDPIPE WITH A HAND

NOVICE (Under 1-year experience)

WHITE, BLUE, PURPLE 

JUVENILE NO-GI:

BEGINNER (Under 1-year experience)

ADULT:

ADULT NO-GI:

NOVICE (Under 1-year experience)

REGISTRATION: 

Early Registration- $40, $70 for gi & no-gi ($10 Discount) 

Normal Registration- $60, $100 for gi & no-gi ($20 Discount) 

Late Registration- $80, $140 for gi & no-gi ($20 Discount) 

Absolute Divisions- $10 Early Registration, $20 Normal/Late Registration 

WEIGH-INS:

We will have DAY BEFORE WEIGH-INS however, the time & place will be announced soon in the next few days.

SAME DAY WEIGH-INS will happen at the door when you check-in.

There will be a 2 POUND ALLOWANCE
