Established in 2021, Whāriki Jiu Jitsu is not just a martial arts club; it's a community dedicated to building strong whānau and fostering resilience. Our instructors, led by Head Instructor Mana Hape, a Black Belt under Roney Da Silva Kabecao, and Club Instructor Tatiana McIntosh, a Brown Belt also under Roney Da Silva Kabecao, bring over 30 years of martial arts experience, including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We are NZJJF Registered with a Gold Standard Award and maintain a strong connection with Gracie GYM NZ (Crolin Gracie) and its affiliates. At Whāriki, our logo symbolizes the weaving and binding of relationships through time, space, and Jiu Jitsu, reflecting our commitment to whanaungatanga – the sense of family connection
