Ground Shark Open 2024

Ground Shark Open is a double elimination Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament with belt and weight divisions for men, women, masters, teens, and kids, as well as absolute divisions for men, women, and teens.  We implement IBJJF scoring, our list of legal and illegal techniques are found on our website. www.pikespeakgrappling.com

Spectator and Coach's Passes can be purchased in advance at the time of registration or at the door the day of the event. 13 and up $15 Spectator ticket,  6-12 year olds are $10, and 5 and under are free. Gyms: for every five competitors (not divisions) your gym registers, you will receive one free Coach's Pass with a max of 3 coaches passes. Please don't add this pass to your cart. It will automatically be waiting for you at will-call the day of the event. 

Early Bird Registration – (Register before March 31st at 10:00 pm) $60 first division, $45 additional divisions

Late Registration – (Register before April 4th at 10:00 pm) $70 first division, $50 additional divisions

No Refunds, but grapplers may transfer their registration to another participant by April 4th.

ALL REGISTRATIONS WILL NEED TO BE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE ACCURATE BY APRIL 4TH. THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES MADE AFTER APRIL 4TH, TO INCLUDE SCHOOL NAME REGISTRAION AND DIVISION UPDATES.

WEIGH-INS – Weigh-ins will be occurring on the evening of April 5th from 5-7pm. You will NOT need to wear your gi for weigh-ins, and there is a one-pound allowance for weight.

In Colorado Springs, weigh-ins will be at SoccerHaus from 5-7pm 4845 List Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80919.

In Falcon, weigh-ins will be at Flow State Jiu Jitsu from 5-7pm 10634 Maltese Point Suite 130, Peyton, CO 80831

In Denver, weigh-ins will be at DCOMMA from 4-7pm 4860 Ironton St Unit L, Denver CO

In Pueblo, weigh-ins will be at Gracie Barra Pueblo from 5-7pm 1306 N Main St Ste B, Pueblo, CO 81003.

Out-of-town grapplers who live 20 miles away may weigh-in on the morning of the event. Day-of-tournament weigh-ins will take place from 7:30-8:30am at the SoccerHaus. ALL morning weigh-ins will need to be approved by Pikes Peak Grappling.
