2024 New Mexico Judo Games
The 2024 New Mexico Judo Games are hosted by New Mexico Games in conjunction with Wild West Martial Arts & Fitness. Tournament will take place on Saturday July 13, 2024 at Las Cruces High School, 1750 El Paseo Rd. Las Cruces, NM 88001. Starting at 9am.

This tournament is being sanctioned by United States Judo Association (USJA)
Members of USJA, USJF and USA Judo are permitted to participate in this event.

Registration
Competitors: Adult and Kids $65, Spectators: $10, Ages 2 and under are free
· Normal Registration Opens: June 22, 2024
· Normal Fee Registration deadline: July 7, 2024 Midnight
· Late Fee Registration: July 8, 2024
· Registration Closes: July 11. 2024, Midnight
All registrations must be completed by 11:59pm MST, July 11. There will be NO day-of registrations.

Friday July 12, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Day of Competition
Coaches meeting: 7:30am - 8:00am
Referee Meeting: 8:15am - 8:45am
Tournament ceremonies: 9AM
Divisions (See "Divisions" tab)
All divisions will be grouped once registration closes, and are dependent upon total number of registrations for each division. The listed divisions and weight classes are placeholders and can change depending on the total number of registrants registered in a particular division and weight class. Please note that we will make every effort to group contestants within 10 Pounds of each other, whenever possible, to ensure the maximum amount of matches.
The Tournament Director reserves the right to modify the divisions/entries to best serve the participants.
Ruleset
RULESET IS IJF CONTEST RULES with the following modifications:
No kansetsu-waza (arm locks) in any [A] junior division (under age 16) or [B] senior novice divisions.
No shime waza (chokes) in any [A] junior or senior novice divisions or [B] junior intermediate under age 13.
The tournament Committee reserves the right to make any necessary changes in the best interest of the sport and competitors.
Golden score will be limited to 2 minutes for age divisions 12 and under, unlimited for age 13 and up.
Back-to-Back matches will be given a 3 minute rest time.
Uniforms
All competitors must wear a properly fitting white or blue gi.
Patches/embroidery can be worn as long as it does not hinder opponents ability to grab judo gi.
Awards
Medals
Gold, silver, and bronze medals will be awarded to all podium finishers.
Trophies
Best 3 teams will be awarded with a Team Trophy.
Notes
BRACKETS and SCHEDULE
On the day of the tournament, the event brackets and schedule will be released. You will be able to locate both on the event page brackets and schedule tab. We will also make a courtesy call for you on the microphone to come to the mat if you also haven’t already presented yourself for the bracket. Please be at the mat on time for your matches.
