For all KIDS, TEENS & JUVENILE competitors, SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY!

*If there is a need for our referee to stop a match the referee is authorized to stop any match for the SAFETY of the child.

First half of each match will have no points counted, second half of the match will be scored as shown out below.

Ibjjf Points:

Takedowns  2 Points

Sweep from the Guard  2 Points           

Knee on Stomach Position  2 Points   

Pass Guard to Side Position 3 Points 

Rear Mount Position Back Control with 2 hooks   4 Points             

Mount Position  4 Points 

There will be NO advantages awarded. In case of a tie, referee will go with referree's decision.

Legal/Illegal Techniques

Teens & Kids Divisions * No attacks below the waist are permitted (ankle locks, knee bars, toe holds, heel hooks etc.). * No wrist locks are permitted. * No neck cranks or cervical locks are permitted. * No scissors takedowns are permitted. * No bicep or calf crunches are permitted. * No slamming from the guard or to escape submission. * No squeezing the legs around an opponents torso (from guard, back or around the neck) as a submission is permitted. * No "Boston Crab" techniques are permitted.Kids divisionTriangle Kids are NOT permitted to pull on the head, wrapping around legs to finish the submission is acceptable.Exzekiel chokes are allowedGuillotines are allowed but competitor must pull guard before attempting to finish the guillotine.

Kids/teens & Juveniles: No leg locks, No neck crank, No spine cranks, No slams, No wristlocks, No small joint manipulations (fingers, toes, etc.) No jumping guard, No standing guillotine, No pulling on the neck on Triangles, No reaping, Nothing below the waist. 

Adult Divisions White Belt/Beginner No-Gi * Straight ankle locks to the outside are permitted (cannot turn the ankle lock towards the other leg).  The inside leg is permitted to cross over the opponents leg. Example - 50 / 50 guard is a legal position to execute a straight ankle lock. However, if the outside leg  crosses over the opponents leg in any manner, the result will be an immediate Disqualification (even if the opponent does not "tap" due to the ankle lock. * No knee bars, no toe holds,no heel hooks, etc. are permitted. * No wrist locks are permitted. * No no neck cranks or no cervical locks are permitted. * No scissors takedowns are permitted. * No bicep or no calf crunches are permitted. * No slamming from the guard or to escape submission.

Blue/Purple Belt * The same rules apply to Blue & Purple Belts as the White Belts with these additional legal techniques: * Blue & Purple Belts are permitted to apply wrist locks. * Blue & Purple Belts are also permitted to apply top mount naked chokes and squeezing the torso with the legs from guard as a submission.

Brown/Black Belt * The same rules apply to Brown & Black Belts as Blue & Purple Belts with these additional techniques:  Straight ankle locks to the outside, toe holds and knee bars are permitted (No heel hooks are permitted). * Wrist locks are permitted. * Biceps and calf crunches are permitted. * No neck cranks or cervical locks are permitted. * No scissors takedowns are permitted. * No slamming from the guard or to escape submission.

FOR NO GI:

All competitors must wear a rash guard, shirts are required.

Spats or shorts must be worn, no pockets, no cups or groin protectors allowed.

FOR GI               

Gi top and Gi pants must be in the same color. All Gi’s must be one consistent solid color.

HYGIENE:

Finger and toenails must be trimmed and cut short. Uniforms must be cleaned, dry and not show any stains. Competitors may not wear any bandages or braces with hard material, like metal or plastic.
