会社情報 Kaze BJJ and Judo Institute, LLC
We are a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Judo school founded on the principle that these martial arts are for everyone. Many schools that teach our martial arts only cater to the young, ultra-fit, aggressive, fighter types that want to win belts, titles, and championships. They achieve this through size, speed, and strength and with little regard for those they compete against and sometimes their own teammates. This is not that school. We focus on techniques combined with a conditioning program that allows you to grow, and with the understanding that you may have to go to work or school the next day. We understand you do not have time to be out simply because you want something challenging in your spare time. You have a family to feed, bills to pay, classes to attend, and being broken just does not fit into that picture. We are just like you. When we leave class, we have expectations on us the next day. However, that does not mean we want to live in a protective bubble. We want to train safely in a sport that challenges both our mind as well as our body. We want to be able to defend our loved ones and ourselves if the time comes, and we want to be effective when we do. We want to test ourselves against others who respect us, and believe that working together we can achieve so much more. We want to be respected by other martial artists when we compete against them, and we want them to know that when they compete against us they are in for a challenge. We take care of each other, help each other grow, and look forward to seeing each other on the mat during the next class. Our school name was chosen to reflect our principles. Kaze, meaning “Wind” in Japanese, represents things that grow, expand, and enjoy freedom of movement. Aside from air, smoke, and the like, Kaze can in some ways, be best represented by the human mind. As we grow physically, we learn and expand mentally as well, in terms of our knowledge, our experiences, and our personalities. Kaze represents breathing, and the internal processes associated with respiration. Mentally and emotionally, it represents an “open-minded” attitude and carefree feeling. It can be associated with will, elusiveness, evasiveness, benevolence, compassion, and wisdom. Who are we? We are Soldiers, Students, Police officers, EMTs, Factory Workers, Medical Professionals, Technical Workers, Moms, Dads, Brothers, Sisters, Wives, Husbands, Sons, and Daughters. We are the average person who wants to better himself or herself. We are the ones who like a mental challenge as well as a physical challenge. We are the ones who want to lose a few pounds, get in better shape, overcome our physical/mental limitations, and challenge the notion that our age/sex/background or position in society defines us. We want to face our fears with a team that supports us. We want to expand our boundaries and we do it through our Martial Arts and by, with, and through each other. If you want to train and study BJJ and Judo, we are the school for you. If you want to play human chess and use your body like a paintbrush creating masterpieces on the mat against your opponents we are the school for you. If you want to be part of a team that cares about your well-being both in and out of the school we are the school for you.
