Infinity In-house Kids Gi Comp
Infinity Martial Arts presents our In-House Kids Gi Comp 2023 The event is designed to be a platform for children to gain competition experience that is both affordable and great for both first time and experienced competitors alike in a welcoming and friendly environment at Infinity Martial Arts Pine Rivers!
LOCATION & TIME
Event to be held at Infinity Martial Arts Pine Rivers on the 8th of October 2023.
Warm up will be held at 8:30 am
Weigh Ins are to be held from 9:00 am
Matches to start at approximately 9:30 am
Please Note:
- Children do not need to wear a Gi to weigh in.
- A 500gram Allowance will be made on the day. i.e. if an athlete is registered on for the under 30kg division they may weigh as heavy as 30.5kg.
-If a competitor lacks a precise match within their division, they will be assigned to an alternate age and/or weight category.
- Failure to make weight will result in disqualification as no division changes can be made on the day.
-Matches begin at approximately 10vam
COST
The cost of registration is $20
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Round Robin Format (Allowing for maximum amount of experience).
- IBJJF Rules with Points and No Advantages. Please note that for our 4-5 year old divisions we have elected to remove submissions with an emphasis on points to ensure the safety of your lil ones.
- Gi Only Event.
- Mixed Male/Female Divisons for Children under 15 years and under.
- Ribbons to be given out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place
RULESET
This competition will use the kids IBJJF rule set for the relevant ages of the children competing. Please ensure that your child is fully aware of the legal and illegal techniques prior to the day. If you are unsure then please speak with you academy Instructor before the event.
If there is no submission by the end of the regulation period the winner will be decided by points or referees decision in the case of a tie on points.
MATCH TIME LIMITS
4 - 5 Years Old = 2 min
6 - 9 Years Old = 3 min
10 - 15 Years Old = 4 min
RISK AND INSURANCE
The competitor and/or their guardian (if under 18yrs) hereby indemnifies Infinity Martial Arts against all and any loss, damage or injury caused directly or indirectly by the competitor’s involvement in the event or contest.
