Hi,

As we approach the tournament, we want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and support. While we were excited to offer a high-level competition for the adult divisions, we didn't receive enough registrations to make it happen this time. However, we’re grateful to all the adults and specially to all high belts who showed interest and helped raise the bar for this event.

We’ll be issuing full refunds to those who registered for the adult divisions. The kids, teens and juvenile divisions are still going ahead as planned, and we’re looking forward to a fantastic event with all young participants.

Welcome to the 11th Edition of the BJJ League on September 7th, 2024! This one-day tournament is open to kids, teens, juveniles and will be held in Bærum, Norway.

We follow IBJJF rules, if there are any deviations, they are ALWAYS communicated and agreed upon upfront.

• Location: Bærum Idrettspark - Hauger Skolevei 36, 1351 Rud

📅 Dates:

• Event Date: Saturday, 7th September 2024

🗓 Schedule:

• Doors Open: 10:00
• Weigh-ins: 10:00 (ONLY for athletes on the monitor or kids, teens and juveniles without confirmed weights)
• Tournament: 11:00

Note: Matches may proceed faster than scheduled.

Times are dynamic, follow up and be ready.

📜 Rules:

• Preparation: No briefing at the tournament; read IBJJF rules in advance.
• Illegal Techniques for kids and teens: Please refer to the following video: BJJ League Illegal moves -15 yrs
• We have a pool of referees, inc. black and colored belts, trained in the rules for kids and juveniles. For the complete list (TBC 1-week before competition day), click here.

🧙‍♂️ Coaches:

1. For coach passes, send an e-mail with the names of 3 coaches and the club name, use the subject: "COACH PASS".
2.  All information must be submitted no later than 4th September.
3. Coach passes WILL NOT be released on competition day.

⏱ Match Times:

• Kids (under 6 years): 2 minutes
• Kids (7-9 years): 3 minutes
• Kids (10-15 years): 4 minutes
• Juveniles (16-17 years): 5 minutes

⚖️ Weigh-Ins:

If your name is displayed on the screen (bullpen), you should wait in the waiting zone to be picked up by a runner, but not before.

Kids, Teens, and Juveniles:

• First chance: If your weight is confirmed by an instructor in advance, you do not need to weigh in at the venue on competition day, click here.
• Second chance: You can weigh in at the venue during check-in. Note that no changes will be allowed on competition day.

🥋 Juveniles Considerations:

• Athletes turning 16 years old (Juvenile 1) in the current year must follow the belt system in Article 1.2 of the IBJJF Graduation System. Juveniles who have been promoted to a colored belt while being kids/teens shall register and compete as Blue belts.

• Juveniles 1 and Juveniles 2 may be combined if not enough registered athletes

💳 Competition Fees:

• Kids: 250 kr flat free
• Juveniles: 300kr flat fee

🎟️ Entrance Fee:

• General Public: 100kr (16 years and above) - Athletes and all kids have free entrance
• Coaches: 3 free coaches per team
• Payment: At the entrance (ViPPs #769020) or on Smoothcomp

💸 Refunds:

• 100% Refund: If canceled by 4th September 23:59
• 50% Refund: if canceled by 5th September 11:00
• After 5th September, send an e-mail with the subject: "REFUND".

Check brackets when published and cancel if necessary. Normal refund dates apply.

🏅 Medals & Prizes:

• Kids (-10 yrs): Participation medals for all.
• Kids & Teens (+10 yrs): Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
• Juveniles: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
• Best Academy of the season: Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and "Best Performance"

🥗 Kiosk:

BJJ League will have food and drinks for sale at the kiosk during the 11th Edition.
