COMPETITION RULES
Our No-Gi competitions will follow the IBJJF scoring system. But, there will be NO advantages.
Each match is 6mins in duration for ALL levels which include Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.
Beginners Allowed Techniques are all submissions excluding the following..
- - No Can Openers
- - No Heelhooks
- - No Footlocks
- - No Scissor Takedowns
- - No Muzzeling/Hand Over Mouth/Nose
- - No Spiking On Head/Neck
- - No Slamming
- - No Jumping Guard
- - No Bicep/Calf Slicers
Intermediate Allowed Techniques are all submissions excluding the following..- No Can Openers- No Scissor Takedowns
- No Muzzeling/Hand Over Mouth/Nose - No Spiking On Head/Neck- No Slamming- No Jumping Guard
- No Outside Rotational Footlocks
Advanced Allowed Techniques are all submissions excluding the following..- No Can Openers- No Scissor Takedowns
- No Muzzeling/Hand Over Mouth/Nose - No Spiking On Head/Neck- No Slamming- No Jumping Guard
- No Outside Rotational Footlocks
WHAT IS A BEGINNER? INTERMEDIATE? ADVANCED?
Beginner is a BJJ White Belt or under 2yrs grappling training. Intermediate is a BJJ Blue/Purple Belt or under 5yrs grappling training.Advanced is a BJJ Purple/Brown/Black Belt or over 5yrs grappling training.
UNIFORMS
All Gi competitions and matches will run with the standard IBJJF gi sizing and regulations. Jacket and Pants will be checked as per IBJJF guidelines on the day. BUT, you can wear ANY colour gi you want with ANY patches you want.
All No-Gi competitions and matches will be kept simple. You must wear shorts or spats with NO pockets or zippers. All tops will be rash guards. No exceptions. BUT, you can wear ANY colour rash guard, spats or shorts you want.
